Parish Religious Education (PRE) is for children in preschool (4 years of age) through 8th grade. While the program is designed to meet the needs of Catholic children who attend public schools, PRE is open to all parishioners of Christ the King. Classes are from 10:00 - 11:15 AM. We meet for 15 minutes in the gymnasium for announcements, a children's sermon, and prayer. Then the children go with their teachers to their classrooms. We use the Faith First curriculum. Students in 7th and 8th grades study Church History, Jesus in the New Testament, and Sacraments and Morality.
Registration fee is $20 per child with a $45 cap per family. This fee includes a PRE t-shirt, the Faith First workbook, snacks, and craft supplies. Financial assistance is available. A Word About Respect
We are here to help you guide your child on their faith journey, but our time with them each week is very short and precious. To provide the best learning experience possible, we expect all students to be respectful of each other and their catechists. Disrespectful behavior will be reported to parents immediately via a phone call and a parent will be required to accompany their child to the next class session. Please review this policy with your child/children.
